Are These Five Men Guilty of Anti-Law Enforcement Bias?
In 2017, the Commissioner’s Court voted to cut one-third of Precinct 3’s Constable staff which provides civil and criminal police services to citizen’s throughout Precinct 3. More cuts have been proposed for 2018 and it’s an additional 33% cut.
As a resident of Precinct 3, approximately 41-51% of your property tax dollars go to Bexar County yet other Precincts pay under 18 percent. Precinct 3 residents receive fewer services provided by the Constable law enforcement, however, other precincts receive more.
The decision for the new budget cut will be made on September 11, 2018. We are asking you to help us respond to the Court Commissioners by opposing the new budget cut and restore the previous staffing of Precinct 3.
The County Judge stated that he does not support the cuts, however, the Commissioner’s Court has not yet voted.
