Check https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/SexOffenderRegistry with your address to map out sex offenders you and your kids need to avoid.
If you are not with your kids, know the routes and homes they will be visiting and have an adult walk with them.
Have a glow stick plus a small flashlight with your child to increase visibility and remind them that crossing or walking in streets is dangerous at night. Always walk in groups and never enter a strangers vehicle.
If kids will attend a party, make sure you have a contact number and have spoken to the adults who will be supervising the party.
Check your child’s candy before they eat any of it and look for tampering.
