Mark Vojvodich
Constable Mark Vojvodich is the son of Ellie Vojvodich and U.S. Air Force Major General, Mele Vojvodich. While growing up in a military family, Mark had traveled to over 20 states and countries by the age of 18.
In 1976, Mark enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he was assigned to Kunsan Air Force Base in South Korea. Throughout his time in the Air Force he also traveled to Japan, Germany, and Lackland Air Force Base where he served as a military working dog handler and trainer.
While in the Air Force reserve, Mark worked out of the San Antonio Police Department in the Armed Forces Police Detachment. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard in Counter-Intelligence enjoying his service with other citizen-soldiers as part of the 49th Armored Division. In 2005-2006, Mark taught Iraqi police officers in Baghdad and functioned as the logistics officer for the Baghdad Police College area located next to FOB Shield in Baghdad.
As a peace officer, Mark has completed over 11,000 hours of training and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University. Mark attended the Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School and is an active polygraph examiner; one of the only 240 licensed examiners in Texas. As an adjunct professor to the Alamo Community College, Mark previously taught academic criminal justice courses at San Antonio College and taught police cadets as an instructor in the Basic Peace Officer Academy. Mark holds almost every certification available to peace officers including Basic Peace Officer, Intermediate Peace Officer, Advanced Peace Officer, Master Peace Officer, Instructor, holds Mental Health, Civil Process, and School Resource Officer Certifications. Mark is also a current field sobriety testing practitioner and experienced DWI enforcement officer. Mark is a certified sexual assault and family violence investigator and holds a certificate in Law Enforcement Proficiency.
Mark is a member on his church advisory board, and he just completed one year as the President of the South Texas Justice of the Peace and past services as vice-president and regional director. Mark brought the STJCPA association’s annual conference in 2019 to San Antonio to enjoy our hospitality and their professional education. Mark maintains licensing as an HVAC professional and as an amateur radio operator as part of keeping lifelong skills active. As a hobby when not working, Mark enjoys SCUBA diving, teaching, reading, and electronics.
Elected as Constable, Mark appreciates working with the outstanding staff at Precinct 3 who works hard on your behalf, and for the privilege of having served as Constable in Precinct 3.
